032713_poll_results_1In the last FG Poll, we asked readers: "Will the total number of forage acres on your operation increase, decrease or stay the same in 2013?"

A slim majority, 47.3 percent, said their forage acres would stay the same in 2013.

Encouragingly, that was closely followed, at 43 percent, by the response that forage acres would increase.

021813_poll_results_1In the most recent FG poll, we asked readers "How much time do you spend on the Internet each week for forage-related information?"

The highest percentage of readers, 33.7 percent, said they spend one to two hours a week. The next-highest percentage, 22.7 percent, said they spend less than an hour a week.

The lowest percentage in the poll, just 4 percent, said they don't read them at all.

113012_poll_results_1In our most recent FG poll, we asked "How much time do you spend each week reading forage-related publications?" The highest percentage of readers - 52.3% - said they spend between one and two hours per week, while another 15.9% said between three and four hours and 10.2% spend five or more hours each week reading forage-related publications. 21.6% of those responding said they spend less than an hour, but nobody said they don't read anything. That's good to hear!

102312_poll_results_1In the most recent FG poll, we asked readers whether they would be investing in any new forage equipment in the coming year. Nearly half, 44.1 percent, said that they would. Another 21.2 percent admitted that they didn't know yet, with 34.7 percent saying they would not.

083112_poll_results_1In the last FG poll, we asked readers about hay prices in their area – were they higher than last year, lower than last year or the same as last year?

77.4 percent said prices were higher than last year, and another 12.9 percent said they were about the same, leaving only 9.7 percent saying that prices were lower.

Our next poll asks: Will you be investing in any new forage equipment in the coming year? Please share your thoughts. FG
